Zhou ZhengWu, born in 1968.
Current member of ZheJiang Art Association.
Mr. Zhou is renowned as master sword smith, traditional Chinese swords researcher and traditional Chinese and Japanese arms collector.
Mr. Zhou was born in a traditional sword smith family and has more than twenty years hand-on experience in forge. His researches are in the areas of traditional sword forge techniques; with the intention of recover traditional Chinese sword forge techniques and help to reestablish the reputation of traditional Chinese swords.
Mr. Zhou, with his swords, has received numinous awards for his commitment and achievements in recovering traditional Chinese sword forge techniques. Some of which are “Silver Prize from Chinese Art Association” (2003) and “Gold Prize from ZheJiang Art Association” (2003)
Mr. Zhou is current moderator on number of Chinese language sword forums. Such as刀友-刀文化主题论坛, and中国百兵斋 - 刀剑论坛.
Mr. Zhou was also featured in number of TV programs. Such as “风雅钱塘” (2003) a documentary by Zhengjiang Satellite TV Network, “城市名片” (2003), a documentary by ShanDong Satellite TV Network..
Mr. Zhou was also featured in documentary by Great Wall Film Company, “Chinese Folk Artesian” (2004).
And in the same year, Mr. Zhou was approached by CCTV (Chinese Central Television) and was invited to be featured in several episodes of TV programs such as: 走进科学(Approaching Science), 走遍中国(Exploring China – by CCTV National Geography)and 搜寻天下 (Exploring High and Low).
Mr. Zhou is the founder of “LongQuan ZhengWu Sword Forge” and “LongQuan Sword Museum” which are designated for traditional Chinese and Japanese blade weaponry.
